Situated in the heart of East Clare, The Courthouse is in the centre of Tulla which is between Ennis and Scariff. The Courthouse is adjacent to all of the amenities of Tulla: Church, primary and secondary schools, Bed and breakfast accommodation, supermarket, pharmacy, butcher, vegetable shop, restaurants, pubs, hardware shops, bank, credit union, GAA grounds, soccer club grounds, and all of the richness that the town, and East Clare has to offer.
Tulla was a thriving market town in the 17th century with fine cut stone buildings many of which are still standing and in use. The town has had a significant history attached to it with many castle ruins, caves, and dolmen structures which still exist today throughout the parish. Tulla also has had a great tradition of music and is the home to the famous Tulla Ceili Band and the renowned Tulla Pipe Band. Samuel Lewis described Tulla in 1837 as being “pleasantly situated on a hill, and surrounded with highly interesting scenery, enlivened with numerous elegant seats and pleasing villas”. Modern day Tulla is a busy small town, which is the commercial centre for the neighbouring districts. Amenities such as primary & secondary schools, local Bank of Ireland branch, St. Francis Credit Union, shops, bars, restaraunts, etc are situated in the village.The village is situated between Limerick and Galway and approximately 10 miles east of Ennis and 20 miles northeast of Shannon Airport
Theatre: upholstered seating for up to 120 people with loose seating in auditorium and fixed seating in gallery, raked stage with stair access, stage lighting and full sound system, excellent natural acoustics, projection screen, entrance porch for ticket sales.
Meeting room 1st floor seating for up to 20 people with historical photography of village on walls.
Meeting room 2: ground floor. Includes access to kitchen with burco boiler, tea and coffee.

Services: wheelchair access disabled toilets, prop storage, stage hoist, good natural and artificial lighting throughout, heating, demountable balustrade to stage, display tables, front and rear entrances to building.
Yard: suitable for outdoor activity and parking.
The Courthouse building is owned by Clare County Council, but is on a long term lease to a charity set up to manage the building - The Tulla Courthouse and Community Development Company Ltd. , CRO registration number 406755 and Charity Sections Number CHY 16521.
